RDJ given global social-impact certificate
Corporate-law firm RDJ has achieved a global certification given to businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact.
RDJ, which has offices in Cork, Dublin, and Galway, is the first Irish law firm to become certified B Corp.
The certification is a designation that a business is meeting high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency on factors from employee benefits and charitable giving to supply-chain practices and input materials.
RDJ says that its certification follows an 18-month-long assessment, with key initiatives undertaken in recent years – including increasing female representation to 35% in senior management and moving to 100% renewable electricity across all offices.
‘Highest standards’
RDJ managing partner Jamie Olden described the certification as “another step evidencing our commitment to building a law firm that leads with purpose”.
“This certification strengthens our dedication to driving positive change and holding ourselves accountable to the highest standards of transparency, social impact, and environmental responsibility,” he added.
Among RDJ’s initiatives are the establishment of an ESG (environmental, social, and governance) team, stronger employee engagement, and several diversity and wellbeing initiatives.
More than 9,500 companies across 160 industries globally – including more than 60 businesses headquartered in Ireland – are certified B Corp.
