MHC backs countrywide social-cohesion initiative
Rethink Ireland, in partnership with law firm Mason Hayes & Curran and the Department of Rural & Community Development, has today (19 February) launched the €1.5 million Connected Communities Fund to foster inclusive, resilient communities and strengthen social cohesion across Ireland.
This new three-year fund is open to organisations committed to scaling innovations that bring people together, promote 'belonging', and empower marginalised communities.
The fund, which will be run by Rethink Ireland, provides cash grants and business support to ‘not-for-profits’ working in communities nationwide.
Eligible organisations across Ireland can apply by visiting rethinkireland.ie/open-funds.
The closing date for applications is 1pm on Friday 4 April.
Cash grants
Up to five organisations will receive cash grants.
MHC managing partner Will Carmody (pictured) said: “As a law firm, we are deeply committed to the principles of equality and inclusion. Supporting this fund enables those principles by fostering shared understanding, mutual trust, and strengthening community cohesion where it is needed most.”
Mason Hayes & Curran previously partnered with Rethink Ireland on four consecutive Engage & Educate funds.
