OBL Solicitors rebrands as Keoghs Ireland

OBL (O’Brien Lynam) Solicitors, which was established in 2000 by Jack O’Brien and Michael Lynam, has been rebranded as Keoghs Ireland LLP.

The move follows a deal announced last October, when Davies, the specialist professional-services and technology business, expanded its legal arm, Keoghs, into Ireland.

Keoghs Ireland acquired the assets of Dublin-based OBL, a full-service law firm that acts for European and multinational insurers, PLCs, financial institutions, investment funds, semi-state bodies, as well as corporate entities and private individuals.

First move outside Britain

Keoghs (England & Wales) was acquired by Davies in 2020 and provides claims and legal expertise to insurers, businesses, and other suppliers to the insurance industry.

The deal agreed with OBL marked Keoghs’ first expansion outside of Britain.

Government Ministers Jack Chambers and Thomas Byrne attended the launch of Keoghs Ireland LLP yesterday (26 February).
