High Court duty judge on for emergency cases

The Courts Service has updated its closures notification for the duration of today’s storm.

  • Dolphin House, District Family Law office – returning interim barring orders scheduled for hearing today will be heard no earlier than 2pm in Court 41,
  • A facility for urgent domestic violence applications will be available in Dolphin House from 2-3pm only.

District Court Sittings in Harristown at 10.30am, and Castlerea at 11.30am, will be sitting for custody cases only in Harristown District Court, Roscommon at 2pm tomorrow.

Court 4, the Criminal Courts of Justice, and Cloverhill Courts will be sitting, but not before 2pm.

These sittings are subject to weather warnings and the buildings being safe, please keep checking courts.ie and social media channels for updates.

High Court emergency applications

A duty judge of the High Court will be available to hear emergency applications today, after the lifting of the red weather warning for Dublin.

Applications will not be listed before the duty judge without certification from the High Court duty registrar that the matter is sufficiently urgent to warrant a listing.
