High Court judges assigned for Hilary term

The President of the High Court Mr Justice Barniville has assigned judges to oversee the court’s lists for the Hilary term.

The term runs from 13 January to 11 April.

The judges assigned are, as follows:

  • President of the High Court  (arbitration list, wardship list, professional disciplinary list, and inherent jurisdiction (capacity) list),
  • Mr Justice McDermott (Central Criminal Court, extradition, Criminal Assets Bureau, and bail),
  • Mr Justice Hunt (Special Criminal Court),
  • Mr Justice Coffey (personal injuries),
  • Ms Justice Gearty (non-jury/judicial review, and asylum, immigration and citizenship),
  • Mr Justice Sanfey (commercial list),
  • Mr Justice Jordan (family list),
  • Mr Justice Cregan (chancery list),
  • Mr Justice Humphreys (planning and environment),
  • Mr Justice Owens (civil-jury list, personal-insolvency  list, and CAB list),
  • Mr Justice Barrett (competition),
  • Ms Justice O’Donnell (Hague- Luxembourg Convention),
  • Ms Justice Stack (probate),
  • Ms Justice Reynolds (Garda compensation),
  • Mr Justice Kennedy (bankruptcy list, examiner’s list),
  • Mr Justice Simons (adjudication list for Construction Contracts Act 2013).
  • Mr Justice Quinn, Ms Justice Roberts, and Mr Justice Mulcahy (judges assigned by the president to hear examinership matters),
  • Mr Justice Mulcahy (judge assigned to deal with admiralty matters), and
  • Ms Justice O’Regan (judge assigned to deal with Land Registry matters).
