Irish partner joins DLA Piper global board

Global law firm DLA Piper has appointed one of the founders of its Dublin office to its international board.

Caoimhe Clarkin is a partner and head of litigation and regulatory at DLA Piper Ireland, having joined the firm in 2019, when it set up in Dublin.

In her current role, Clarkin advises domestic and international companies on a range of issues, as well as providing guidance on risk and crisis management, dispute resolution, and relationships with regulators.

‘Wealth of experience’

DLA Piper, which has lawyers in more than 40 countries, recently celebrated its five-year anniversary in Ireland, where it has expanded its team to 120 people – including 20 partners and 13 legal directors.

Clarkin has been appointed to the board of DLA Piper International alongside colleagues Katherine Chew (Singapore) and Sonia de Kondserovsky (Paris). Bruno Giuffrè (MIlan) has also been re-elected.

David Carthy (country managing partner, DLA Piper Ireland) said that Clarkin’s appointment reflected “her wealth of experience and commitment to excellence in advising domestic and international clients”.
