Law Society launches micro-credential upskilling

The Law Society has introduced a tailored range of 20 specialised micro-credentials across key areas of law.

Micro-creds are a growing educational initiative offered by academic institutions and other organisations worldwide.

These short, focused courses are designed to equip students with both legal expertise and practical skills, making them the ideal stepping stones for career advancement.

Open to both solicitors and other professionals, these accredited courses will provide targeted, high-quality legal education and professional development, enabling learners to upskill or reskill in specific areas.

Flexible learning

Advantages of Law Society micro-credentials:

  • Attaining a recognised accreditation,
  • Self-paced learning that fits around personal and professional commitments,
  • Stacking of micro-credentials to gain a greater award,

Micro-creds also fulfil a substantial portion of solicitors' annual CPD requirement – up to 15 hours.

The course fees are €950 (solicitors) and €1,050 (other professionals).
