Well Within the Law festival returns on 3 September
The Well Within the Law festival returns on 3 September to the Blackhall Place campus.
Irish authors Claire Keegan and Kevin Barry are just some of the special guests confirmed for this annual Law Society event to support and celebrate solicitors.
The writers will participate in discussions surrounding silence, ethics, and moral courage in Ireland, as well as sharing their own stories as some of Ireland’s most beloved literary voices.
'This is absurd'
The 2025 festival, hosted by Law Society Psychological Services, takes absurdity as its central theme – an invitation to reflect on the contradictions, complexities, and ironies of this moment in time.
The event will take the famous Samuel Beckett quote as a starting point: ‘We’re all born mad. Some remain so.’
A dynamic programme of speakers, writers, and performers will explore absurdity from the global stage to the everyday realities of contemporary legal practice.
The festival will be held in the Marquee, Blackhall Place, Dublin 7 from 5pm on Wednesday 3 September.
It’s free to attend but likely to sell out, so would-be attendees are encouraged to book in advance.
More details and speakers will be announced shortly and, once confirmed, will be added to the festival webpage.
