Ailish Finnerty named as Arthur Cox chair

Arthur Cox has appointed partner Ailish Finnerty as the firm’s next chair, succeeding Orla O’Connor.

She will take up the position on 31 March, when O’Connor completes her six-year term.

‘Exceptional leader’

She specialises in corporate tax, with a focus on tax planning for international clients. She trained with the firm, before becoming a partner in 2008.

O’Connor described her successor as “an exceptional leader, with a deep understanding of our clients’ needs and the evolving legal landscape”.

Finnerty praised Orla O’Connor for her leadership and “outstanding contribution” to the firm.
