Arthur Cox appointments include two partners

Arthur Cox has appointed two new partners and six new ‘of counsel’ across some of its main practice areas.

The firm said that the appointments reflected its commitment to investing in talent and strengthening the breadth of its expertise.

Managing partner Geoff Moore added that the appointments were focused particularly on areas of “key strategic importance”.

Employment and corporate partners

The new partners are Sarah Faulkner (employment) and Sarah McDermott (corporate and M&A).

Faulkner advises on all aspects of employment law, representing clients before the Workplace Relations Commission and Labour Court in disputes such as unfair dismissal, equality, transfer of undertakings, and working time.

A CEDR-accredited mediator, she also acts for clients in employment-related civil court proceedings and advises on the employment aspects of commercial transactions and outsourcings.

McDermott advises Irish and multinational public and private companies on all aspects of corporate and commercial law. She also advises international and domestic publicly listed clients on strategic issues such as public takeovers, capital raises, corporate restructuring, and governance.

The new ‘of counsel’ at Arthur Cox are:

  • Ciara Anderson (technology and innovation),
  • Lisa Boyle (corporate and M&A),
  • Elaine Caulfield (real estate),
  • Kim O’Dowd (financial regulation),
  • Niamh O’Toole (corporate and M&A), and
  • Zac Van Horn (litigation, dispute resolution, and investigations).
