Five to begin solicitor careers at Walkers

Five newly qualified solicitors are to begin their careers at Walkers as associates after completing their 24-month training programme.

With admission to the Law Society due this month, the five will work across four of the firm’s divisions: asset finance; asset management and investment funds; finance and capital markets; and regulatory and risk advisory.

The five new solicitors are:

  • Emma Jackson,
  • Dylan Kirwan,
  • Conor McCabe,
  • Aoife O’Leary, and
  • Coleen Wegmann.

Hands-on training

During their training they attended the Law Society’s nine-month Professional Practice Course (PPC) and completed rotations across a number of practice areas in the firm, receiving hands-on training and mentoring from partners and associates.

Jonathan Sheehan (managing partner) said: “Each has shown dedication, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence in their legal training with us.”

Since launching in 2015, Walkers’ programme in Ireland has supported 48 trainee solicitors in completing their training.
