LASBA winter seminar goes online this year

The Local Authorities Solicitors’ Bar Association (LASBA) winter seminar is going online this year. Registration is now open for the 20 November event, which will run from 10am-1pm. 

This inaugural online conference will be hosted on Microsoft Teams, courtesy of the Dublin City Council Smart Cities and IT Sections.

No charge

There will be no charge for this year’s conference. The event will be recorded and made available to attendees and members unable to attend.

Three CPD points are available for those attending.

Topics and speakers include:

  • Donnchadh McCarthy SC on the lawfulness of CCTV surveillance under data-protection law,
  • Noel Reilly (executive solicitor at Dublin City Council) on developments in planning law, and the Supreme Court decision in the Spencer Dock case,
  • Fidelma McManus (Beauchamps Solicitors) on long-term leasing and other housing schemes,
  • Neil McDermott (executive solicitor at Dublin City Council), on approved housing bodies, and
  • Conleth Bradley SC on emergency legislation and local authorities.
