Tully Rinckey LLP has named Malachy Kearney as a new partner and head of the firm’s investment funds department.
Malachy works with domestic and international clients on the establishment and operation of Irish regulated funds, as well as all associated investment and regulatory matters.
Asset management
He has extensive experience advising funds, promoters and service providers on asset management and investment fund related matters, including the establishment, authorisation and operation of all types of Irish investment funds.

Malachy joins Tully Rinckey from a large Irish corporate law firm, where he was partner and head of investment funds.
Global fund administration
He also served as in-house counsel for an international bank in the Cayman Islands, head of legal for a global fund administration company, and leader of the funds department for a top-tier London law firm.
Malachy is a member of the Law Society of Ireland and the Law Society of Northern Ireland.
He has a Bachelor of Laws from The Queens University of Belfast, and post graduate qualifications in contract administration from Trinity College Dublin, and in international financial services law from University College Dublin.
