About the role:

RDJ have an exciting opportunity for an associate to join their Employment Team.

The team comprises a highly regarded group of lawyers spread across 3 offices in Cork, Dublin and Galway with diverse skill sets and levels of experience.

RDJ share a passion for delivering timely and practical commercial advice and solutions to the legal issues faced by their clients. They take real pride in what they do for their clients and enjoy leveraging their team dynamic to achieve this.

Acting for a broad mix of Irish, international, private, and public sector clients, the RDJ Employment Team advises on all areas of employment law including:

  • Talent acquisition
  • Grievance and disciplinary issues 
  • TUPE issues
  • WRC claims

RDJ employment team works closely with other specialist units within the firm to offer coordinated legal advice on areas such as tax, corporate, data privacy and a range of regulatory areas.

The successful candidate will join a busy team and will gain further experience in all forms of employment law.

Background and experience:

Associates with 3+ years of employment law advisory and contentious experience in a leading Irish or international corporate law firm are encouraged to apply.

Key skills and competencies:

  • Ability to draft and review employment contracts, policies and procedures and contracts for services
  • A proven track record in business development
  • Excellent communication skills and positive engagement with clients and colleagues
  • A practical and commercial understanding of clients’ needs
  • Excellent technical and drafting skills coupled with a good eye for detail
  • A proven ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure that deadlines are consistently met
  • An ability to work as part of a team and show a high level of initiative
  • A strong work ethic and flexible approach to work
