Located in Fitzwilliam Street in the heart of Dublin city centre, the firm has local and international expertise in family law. It is a team committed to excellence and delivering the best outcomes for its clients. They are now seeking a new Legal Secretary/Executive to work closely with a busy, professional and personable sole practitioner.

As legal secretary, you will act as a key liaison, communicating professionally with clients and courts, while providing timely support around case file preparation and administration. This position is pivotal to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of legal services.

What’s involved?

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to a dynamic sole practitioner in a fast-paced, thriving legal environment.
  • Efficiently manage, organise, and draft a variety of legal documents and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
  • Perform precise and timely dictation typing to support the solicitor's workflow.
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments, hearings, and meetings with counsel, optimising the solicitor's calendar for maximum efficiency.
  • Act as a key liaison, communicating professionally with clients, courts, and other law offices on behalf of the solicitor.
  • Maintain, update, and meticulously organize case files and databases to ensure seamless access to critical information.
  • Assist in the preparation of booklets of pleading and booklets of vouching, contributing to the success of each case.
  • Manage photocopying tasks with attention to detail.
  • Support the billing and invoicing processes, helping to streamline financial operations.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and security, protecting sensitive information with diligence and integrity.

What are they looking for?

  • Demonstrated experience as a legal executive or legal secretary, with a strong preference for expertise in family law.
  • Advanced proficiency in preparing legal documents and navigating court procedures specific to family law cases.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring effective interaction with clients, courts, and legal professionals.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a hardworking team.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in reviewing legal documents and correspondence to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Advanced proficiency in legal software and the Microsoft Office Suite, enhancing productivity and efficiency.
  • Track record of experience with case management systems, optimising the workflow and case handling.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of legal terminology and procedures pertinent to family law, ensuring high-quality support and expertise.
  • Experience is essential.
