The Roles

Fieldfisher is growing their team! Due to Fieldfisher continued growth and ambitious plans for the future, they are seeking to recruit Solicitors / Associate Solicitors to join their Public and Regulatory department. Join Fieldfisher team and you will contribute towards a rewarding and varied caseload, including investigations, litigation, enforcement, regulatory prosecutions, statutory interpretation and public and administrative law.

You will be given ample autonomy in your role, in a supportive and collaborative team environment. These roles require provision of expert legal advice, underpinned by a sound commercial understanding of client needs and expectations. The successful candidates will gain invaluable experience in:

  • Advising professional regulatory bodies in respect of the management of fitness to practise/disciplinary complaints received, from preliminary stage through to sanction.

  • Advising on all elements of the investigation, preparation and presentation of cases for hearing before disciplinary Committees and Boards/Councils/Tribunals of regulatory bodies.

  • Advising clients in respect of Superior Court litigation, including judicial review, statutory appeals, sanction confirmation applications and urgent applications.

The successful candidates will have the following skills and experience: 

  • 1+ years' experience in Public and Regulatory and/or Administrative Law (although all suitably qualified, including more experienced candidates will be fully considered);

  • Litigation experience, particularly in the field of judicial review;

  • A strong commercial focus and business acumen;

  • Ability to foster trusted relationships with our clients;

  • Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail;

  • Strong organisational and time management skills;

  • Team player with strong communication skills;

  • A good work ethic with a positive "can do" attitude and approach to work.
