Law Society invites profession’s opinions

The Law Society is seeking feedback from practising solicitors so it can improve its offering to support a changing profession. 

This survey is about solicitors and their work and getting an understanding of the challenges and changing dynamics in the profession such as AI, cybercrime, recruitment, and regulatory compliance.  

Like the survey of the profession in 2023, which informed the current strategy, solicitors’ responses will help the Law Society continue to shape its work so that more support can be provided to enable solicitors’ professional success.

To do that, it's important to hear the diverse views of as many practitioners as possible, whether working in-house or in private practice, in the city, or a regional area. 

Specifically, the survey focuses on three areas: 

• Your work and how that is changing,
• Challenges and opportunities in a changing legal landscape, and 
• How the Law Society can support and shape the changing nature of the profession. 

Issuing from next Monday 31 March, solicitors should expect an email invitation with a unique survey link from Ipsos B&A Research.

The survey takes about ten minutes, and all contributions are confidential and anonymised.

Solicitors are strongly encouraged to take the opportunity, before the survey closes on 11 April, to share your views to help the Law Society best support you and your business.   

Many solicitors helped inform the 2024-2028 Law Society strategy through an online survey, focus groups, and consultations in 2023.
