Brent Pope joins Well Within the Law Festival
The upcoming Law Society Well Within the Law festival on 4 September, in Blackhall Place from 5.30pm, has a jam-packed itinerary of events, including a guest appearance by rugby pundit and Elephant in the Room founder, Brent Pope.
Elephant in the Room
Law Society Psychological Services has partnered with Elephant in the Room to challenge mental health stigma and encourage open conversations in the workplace.
This global project involves placing a large elephant sculpture, decorated by a professional artist within Law Society buildings. This elephant is a declaration of our commitment to creating an open culture in which no aspect of mental health is taboo.
We are delighted that our invitation out to the profession to contribute to the design of our elephant was so well received with lots of you contributing ideas. The final designed elephant will be unveiled at the Well Within the Law festival on 4 September, which also marks Suicide Awareness Month.

Brent Pope in conversation with Stuart Gilhooly
Brent Pope founded Elephant in the Room to reframe the conversation about mental health across workplaces. Brent has been a professional sportsman, television and media figure for over 30 years, but more significantly has acted as an advocate for greater mental health awareness and understanding.
We are honoured that he will join the Well Within the Law festival where he will be in conversation with solicitor Stuart Gilhooly, who himself suffered the loss of a close friend to suicide.
