Calcutta Run - the Legal Fundraiser
Since 1999, the Calcutta Run has raised an amazing €5.3 million in support of homelessness services in Ireland and Kolkata (formerly Calcutta).
In 2023, over 1,800 participants took part in 2023 across the Dublin Calcutta Run and its associated events - the Golf Classic, Rogers Recruitment Tag Rugby, and the Cork Calcutta Run. Collectively an incredible €320,000 was raised in 2023.
The team at the Law Society and Calcutta Run Committee plan to deliver an even better series of events in 2024 to raise vital funds for homeless young people in Ireland and India.
Dublin Calcutta Run
The Dublin run/walk is the cornerstone event of the Calcutta Run – the legal fundraiser, having first taken place in 1999. It consists of a 6km and 10km run & walk, beginning and ending in Blackhall Place, and proceeding through the Phoenix Park and surrounding areas. In 2023, approximately 1000 people took part.
