Calcutta Run Tennis
- Date: finals on Thursday 29 Mary 2025
- Time: 8pm
- Location: Lansdowne Tennis Club, Londonbridge Road, Dublin 4, D04 X0E8
- Entry fee: €1,000 per team of four
Format:
- Each firm's team needs four players (two men and two women) who, in each round, will play one men's doubles, one ladies' doubles and two mixed doubles matches (which should be played in order of merit).
- Every match consists of one set with a tie-break at five games each.
- In the event of a two-matches-all result, the team which has won the greatest number of games will go through to the next round.
- Firms aren't required to rely on the same four tennis players for each round so feel free to involve as many as you can from your firm.
- Also, smaller firms are free to join up with others, and put in a combined team. It would be great to see more firms involved this year.
- A reminder that all players must be currently employed by the participating firm(s), no exceptions.
Plate draw:
- If your firm is not successful in the first-round matches of the main draw, we will also run a plate draw in parallel with the main draw. This will hopefully ensure that firms get to play more than one round of tennis and cater for a mixture of tennis levels.
All participating firms and supporters to come to watch the finals in Lansdowne and there will be drinks and food provided by the Calcutta Run Committee on the night.
