AML – New year reminder
10/01/2025 09:24:28An upgrade to the goAML system is scheduled to go live in February 2025.
Solicitors’ attention is drawn to a recent communication from the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) in relation to the upgrade.
If you are registered on goAML please check the Message Board and take any steps necessary to ensure that you are prepared for the impending upgrade.
Solicitors who are not registered on goAML should consider doing so. Registration is a simple process and ensures that you are fully prepared to file a Suspicious Transaction Report (STR) should you need to.
Solicitors are reminded of their statutory obligations as designated persons pursuant to Section 42 of the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering & Terrorist Financing) Act 2010 (as amended)/Regulation 19 Solicitors (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Regulations 2020 (SI 377/2020).
