Board vacancies for Adoption Authority of Ireland
The Minister for Children, Disability and Equality is inviting expressions of interest to fill vacancies on the Board of the Adoption Authority of Ireland.
There are three vacancies that solicitors can apply for and the deadline for applications is 3pm on 28 August.
Eligibility
To be eligible for two of the vacancies, as Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the Authority, a person must either:
- Be or have been a Judge of the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal, the High Court, the Circuit Court or the District Court within the two years immediately before their appointment to the Board, or
- Be of not less than 10 years standing as a barrister or solicitor.
To be eligible for a third vacancy, as an Ordinary Member of the Board, a person must be:
- A barrister or solicitor with experience in the practice of law in relation to families and children.
Section 98 of the Adoption Act 2010 (as amended) refers.
