Five grants awarded to small practices
Regional practices from all four provinces were chosen to each receive a grant worth €25,000 from the Law Society.
Grant details
The small practice traineeship grant ensures that five firms in Cork, Meath, Monaghan, Roscommon and Wicklow can take on a trainee this year as the scheme provides funding of €18,000 to the training firm over the course of the training contract.
It will also provide funding of €7,000 to the trainee solicitor by way of a discount on the Professional Practice Course (PPC) fee.
This initiative was created to encourage traineeships in regional firms and support small practices, ensuring access to legal services in smaller communities and supporting the next generation of solicitors.
