The Law Society's In-House and Public Sector Committee has produced a new version of the Guide for In-house Solicitors Employed in the Corporate and Public Sectors.
The Guide is now available on the Law Society’s website as an interactive PDF with links. For those who prefer, the guide is also available in a fully digital format, with the Law Society website's helpful accessibility tools that let you read text aloud, modify font sizes, and customise your experience.

Training
The Law Society's 2023 Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on ‘Social Media and the Law’, starts on Tuesday 30 May 2023. In this free online course, expert speakers, media lawyers and academics will examine many topics including online safety legislation (Online Safety and Media Regulations Act 2022), social media and employees, disinformation / fake news, and more.
On 12 October the In-house and Public Sector Committee and Law Society Finuas Skillnet will host the annual in-house Conference. It will be held at the Law Society from 9.45 am, and will be an excellent opportunity for in-house solicitors in the private and public sectors to meet their colleagues in-person. Details, including the Brochure and Booking Form, will be available on the Society’s website next month. In the meantime, you might like to save the date.
