Earn a Law Society micro-credential and 15 CPD hours. Starting on 21 February, you’ll learn the key accounting obligations for law firms and gain an understanding of the legal and regulatory context.

Who is it for?

It’s for both practising solicitors and bookkeeping staff in legal firms. No prior experience or qualifications in law or bookkeeping are required.

What you’ll achieve

On successful completion, you’ll earn a Law Society of Ireland micro-credential:
‘An Introduction to Bookkeeping and Accounts for a Legal Practice’.

CPD Hours (15)

  • 11 hours Client Care & Professional Standards (accounting & AML) – group study
  • 4 hours Client Care & Professional Standards (accounting & AML) – eLearning

Course format

There are two in-person workshops and follow up sessions online.

  • Workshop 1: Tuesday 21 February, 10am–4pm (in-person, Law Society of Ireland)
  • Workshop 2: Tuesday 24 March 10am–4pm (in-person, Law Society of Ireland)
  • Live online and on-demand lectures included.
