Campus life
In conjunction with your education journey here at the Law School we have a collective range of committees that organise a diverse range of events. We believe some of the most memorable Law School moments happen outside the classroom. The PPC Connect Committee comprised of trainees organise weekly social events to cater for the interests of a diverse student body.
Volunteering
The Law School has a proud tradition of volunteering. We have partnered with a number of organisations to offer you a range of exciting volunteering opportunities.
Some of these partnerships include:
- Irish Rule of Law International
- Shared Reading Project
- JustASK - after school club for children in the local area
- Irish Red Cross
- ACJRD - Association for Criminal Justice Research & Development
Trainees also have an opportunity to participate in Street Law, sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for the law with students across Ireland.
Details of opportunities will be shared on the Law School Moodle and in Trainee news, so be on the lookout for a programme that might interest you.
Clubs and societies
The beauty and strength of Clubs and Societies is that they are run voluntarily by your fellow students for the students to complement your busy academic life while here in the Law School and you are very welcome to join.
Official societies of the PPC cohort are those listed on the PPC Connect Moodle page. Any external societies or events organised by students not listed on this page are not official Law Society clubs and societies.
New activities or clubs
Do you have an idea for an extra-curricular activity or club?
The Law School team strives to create a programme of activities to meet the diverse interests of our student population, aided by a representative PPC Connect Committee.
Setting up a new club or society is easy. All you need to do is submit your proposal using the form below. This will allow your club or society to get recognition from the PPC Connect Committee and to apply for funding if needed.
If you would like to see a particular activity taking place, or to start a new club, please contact Student Advisor, Emma Cooper, at StudentAdvisor@LawSociety.ie.
