Solicitors
All solicitors have a login account - your username is your solicitor number including the S (this is your username) and you can request or reset your personal password. You can find your solicitor number on your practising certificate and other Law Society correspondence.
If you have recently qualified or forgot your password, you can request a password to be emailed to you.

PPC Trainees
Trainees have access to most solicitor resources on the site, along with some specific tools for them like the CR Register. Log in using your Law School email address and Law School password.
Reset password and access email
If you are a PPC Trainee, the Law School IT Team can help you reset your Moodle password or access your Law School email. If you have any queries or issues, email support@propc.ie.

Payments
A new payment system was introduced in 2024 to streamline the process of making payments to the Law Society, offering greater efficiency for both you and your employer. The experience for card payments should be very similar but this included important changes for users paying by EFT.
Faster, secure EFT payments
Each solicitor and firm has a unique Virtual International Bank Account Number (IBAN) to use when making an EFT payment for your Practising Certificate (PC). This will be displayed on your EFT form as part of the online PC renewal process, and in the Firm Admin area for group PC payments.
By using the right Virtual IBAN, you can ensure that your payments are processed more efficiently.
Do I need to update Law Society bank details?
If you have previously made an EFT payment to the Law Society, you will need to update the IBAN and BIC that you saved in your online banking service and replace it with the VBAN allocated to you. You can access your VBAN via your Solicitor Portal on lawsociety.ie after you log in. For making payments for practising certificates, please use the VBAN for Society/Regulation.
What is a Virtual IBAN / VBAN?
A Virtual IBAN (International Bank Account Number) is a unique account number that acts as a virtual address for directing payments to a real bank account. It helps businesses and organisations to manage different types of payments by assigning separate virtual numbers for specific purposes, like education fees or membership payments.
