The Law Society Career Support Service provides a wide range of supports for solicitors who come up against any kind of career challenge. The service is free of charge to Law Society members and comprises of both one-to-one help and group programmes.
Helpline Support
Solicitors can contact Career Support any time, by telephone or email, and can discuss any career matter with a career adviser in total confidence.
Career Consultations
A private meeting, in person or online, can be arranged with a career adviser in confidence. One-to-one career coaching is also available.
Job Seeking Support
A wide range of job seeking supports are provided, including a CV review and feedback service and help in prospecting and preparing for interviews.
Resolve Support
Initiative that supports solicitors to job seek in a market where few opportunities exist – involving one-to-one assistance and group support.
Returners Support
A dedicated programme for solicitors who have been away from legal work for an extended time and who now want to get back involved.
Newly-Qualified Support
Information and support for newly qualified solicitors and for trainees about to qualify in collaboration with the Younger Members Committee.
Enterprise Support
Information on self-employment, on setting up in practice and on buying a practice or buying into a partnership – along with useful facilities such as Buy Sell Merge.
55+ Support
Help for solicitors aged 55 and over – employed and self-employed – who want to transition into a different way of working and/or plan for retirement.
