Autumn webinars on regulation planned

Law Society Professional Training is holding a series of lunchtime webinars on regulation matters, beginning in September.

The four live Zoom events are each worth one CPD hour for client care and professional standards.

The webinars, which run from 1pm to 2pm, are now open for registration on the Law Society website.

Tips for client interactions

The first event focuses on anti-money-laundering (AML) and aims to provide a user-friendly guide to best practice AML in operation.

A webinar on managing client expectations aims to provide practical tips and tools for client interactions, clear communications, and avoiding or mitigating potential issues.

The third event outlines recent trends in cyber-attacks, and advises solicitors on ways to help reduce risk.

The final webinar in the series aims to demystify the world of Law Society inspections, identify common issues, consider potential solutions, and give solicitors the tools to prepare well in advance.

The dates are:

  • AML in practice (Wednesday 18 September),
  • Managing client expectations (Wednesday 25 September),
  • Cyber-crime (Wednesday 9 October), and
  • Preparing for an inspection (Wednesday 16 October).
