William Fry partner scoops London award
William Fry construction partner Jarleth Heneghan has been named the exclusive 2024 Client Choice winner for Construction in Ireland.
He was presented with the prestigious award at a celebratory dinner on Thursday (7 March).
The award was given to Heneghan for his ability to add real value to his clients’ businesses with advice on Irish and international construction and engineering bespoke and standard-form agreements.
Heneghan also advises on procurement, PPP/PFI, and on alternative-dispute-resolution matters, including conciliation, mediation, adjudication, arbitration construction insolvency issues, and rescue financing.
Boland's Quay
Recent work includes advising on development financing and construction of the Google Ireland’s Boland's Quay office and residential development, the redevelopment of the net zero carbon Irish Life HQ, and acting on the roll-out of national broadband, emergency-power regeneration plants for EirGrid, and advising the DAA on complex infrastructural projects at Dublin Airport.
Managing partner Owen O’Sullivan said: “Jarleth is consistently ranked as a market leader for construction law in Ireland, and the fact that this award is based solely on client nominations makes the success all the more meaningful.”
Established in 2005, nominations for the Client Choice award may only be made by corporate counsel. This year’s winners were chosen from over 2,000 nominees.
Award for investigations
At the same ceremony, McCann FitzGerald partner Catherine Derrig was also awarded the Client Choice Award for Investigations in Ireland.
Derrig is an experienced litigator who advises on contentious matters, including commercial and regulatory disputes, and investigations in sectors such as financial services, healthcare, food, gambling, forestry and sea-fisheries.
