YMC networking event to focus on harassment

The Law Society’s Younger Members Committee (YMC) is holding a breakfast networking event on Thursday 10 April (8.30-9.30am).

The event, entitled ‘Networking Nexus: Stalking, harassment and unwanted conduct’, will feature a short discussion involving Keith Walsh SC and Erin Brogan of FLAC.

It will take place in the Blue Room at the Law Society in Blackhall Place.

Signs of harassment

Recent studies suggest that one in five of people surveyed have experienced some form of harassment

Over half of those did not report the incident, however, while one in five people have never heard of coercive control and could not identify ‘harassment’.

The discussion will examine the signs of harassment, how to tell when someone is being harassed, and how you can use the law to get it to stop.

More details on the event and how to register are available on the Law Society website.
