Severe weather hits some court sittings

Severe weather conditions are affecting court services in some parts of the country this week. 

The Courts Service said that District Court sittings in Thurles, Co Tipperary, on 7 and 8 January had been cancelled due to weather conditions. 

Court offices in Carlow, Kilkenny, and Clonmel were closed today (6 January), while sittings of Carlow District Court and Kilkenny District Court were rescheduled for tomorrow (7 January).

Court sittings in Cork, Kerry, Limerick were also delayed today, starting at the later time of 12 noon.

The Courts Service says that further updates will be posted on its website and on its Facebook and X accounts.
