Pinsent Masons to help NI firms expand

The Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NI Chamber) has teamed up with legal firm Pinsent Masons to help its member firms to expand internationally.

The business group has already signed up Grant Thornton and Queen’s University Belfast to provide a mix of professional expertise, technical advice, and access to global business networks.

Tanya Anderson (NI Chamber’s head of international and business support, small picture) said that the partnership had come at a critical time for anyone trading internationally from Northern Ireland.

International outlook

“Whilst we are continuing to provide importers and exporters with important practical support under new trading arrangements, our international division is also helping businesses across all sectors to confidently think and grow globally,” she said, adding that firms were making inroads into key target markets, such as the US and Asia.

Andrea McIlroy-Rose (head of Pinsent Masons’ Belfast office) said that the firm’s 26 offices across the world would help it to bring an international outlook to businesses operating in Northern Ireland.
