Owen O’Sullivan is William Fry managing partner

Leading firm William Fry has announced Owen O’Sullivan as its new managing partner.

Owen is the former head of William Fry’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution department, where he specialised in commercial and financial sector disputes.

Owen succeeds Bryan Bourke who has been managing partner for the past six years and who returns to M&A practice.

Owen joined William Fry in 1999 as a partner. He has advised on many high-profile disputes and has extensive product-liability defence experience in the pharmaceutical, energy, drink, motor, and tobacco sectors.

International Bar Association

Owen also served as a member of the Law Society’s Litigation Committee for six years, chaired the steering committee of the Commercial Litigation Association of Ireland for two years, and is currently a member of the International Bar Association, and DRI Europe.

He said today (12 November): “I am delighted to be elected to the role of managing partner by my fellow partners at William Fry. 

“I look forward to leading the firm over the coming years as we all navigate COVID-19 and support our clients through a challenging economic environment.

“I would like to thank my predecessor Bryan Bourke for his hard work and dedication to the firm during his time at the helm.”
